Citrus Aurantium fruit Extract is the dried young fruit of Citrus aurantium L., a plant of Rutaceae family, and its cultivated variety or Citrus sinensis Osbeck.
Chemical composition
Citrus aurantium fruit extract contains nobiletin, d-limonene, auranen, aurantian marin, citrin, limonin, etc. The product also contains synephrine, N-methyltyramine and some flavonoids (such as hesperidin), neohesperidin and naringin.
Product efficacy
Synephrine is the main active ingredient in the fruit of Citrus aurantium, which can effectively prevent energy surplus (heat accumulation), regulate qi, warm stomach, promote appetite and accelerate metabolism.
In theory, lime can accelerate fat metabolism and will not have adverse side effects like those of patients using ephedra, affecting cardiovascular system. It is also a mild aromatic expectorant, a nerve tranquilizer and a laxative for constipation.
1. Weight loss
The most likely explanation for the weight loss function of lime extract is the amphetamine like effect of alkaloids.
Although this effect is likely to be slightly worse than that of ephedra (ephedrine) and not as active as that of ephedra, users can expect variable effects including consuming excess calories, reducing appetite and improving satiety, which may lead to weight loss.

Since synephrine and other components in Fructus Aurantii Immaturus are structurally similar to ephedrine and act as the stimulator of special adrenergic receptors (Beta-3, but not Beta-1, Beta-2 or Alpha-1), Fructus Aurantii Immaturus does not have a negative effect on the central nervous system like ephedra, and ephedra stimulates all beta adrenergic receptors.
2. Mild stimulant
